"Adagio for strings and peppermint things blind the eyes of ones who are captivated by the light and cannot turn their mind from the beautiful distraction. Angels fly and elephants die at the hand of jealous vengeance in adulterated minds. Thoughts of confusion and bombs of delusion light up the skies and missiles are streaming as the sun cries: disappointed in our failure to potentially love. Bombs will never be a safe alternative to love. I would rather Saddam or Bush take my life than anyone else's. I would die for all of them if it quenched their thirst for blood. I am driven by love; turned away by hate. I write this, as on the news I see not love, I see not even a feeble attempt at love, not a grain of gratitude offered up to the one we worship on Sundays that we have to opportunity to love. When you feed the hungry, you feed God. When you comfort the weary, you comfort God. When you shelter the homeless, you house God. When you turn on love, you turn God."
