WRANGLE THE WILDCATS! HOORAY FOR A 1 AND 4 SEASON!!!!!

ok, so I'm not really getting into the homecoming mode. Sure, let's back up our football team, especially in the hard times, blah blah blah. I'm sorry that I happen to notice when you lose 9 out 10 games the previous season, and then vow that "we're going to have a great year!" Where exactly is that year, may I ask? Because the games I've been attending (it's a requirement, at that) are certainly not what was promised at many a lackluster pep rally. The parade was long, sweaty and cumbersome, but not unexpected. I saw tons of people with looks of intense excitement on their faces, so I guess it was beneficial to some. The bonfire and post activities were not all they were cracked up to be. I went home and cleaned up mildly, and returned to the bonfire. There I saw a total of six people I knew well enough to comfortably strike up a conversation with. Multiple cars had cranked up rap songs playing, while juveniles commenced inappropriate dancing. Couples were sucking face, and I was reminded of a Friday night at movies 8th grade. So, I went home after seeing jason hopper shirtless (?), daphne wandering aimlessly, being asked by some kid for $20 to pee on the bonfire, and ray whisenhunt, the phantom of chick-fil-a. All in all, a uniquely strange evening. Tomorrow may prove to be just as odd.

My head is aching right now. This is not due to the fact that I'm working on the economics exam for mrs. mmkay, but that being surrounded by terrible remixes of "dance to the music" and the like, loudmouthed carnies, and cigarette smoke for a whole day grates my nerves. Yes, I went to the fair, and ate more than enough for all of the people who chose wisely to stay in the comfort of their homes. It is really amazing the amount of money poured into the entire excursion by everyone involved, myself included. We won't even get into the unsanitary aspect of the whole ordeal. But, after a comment on germs by one of my companions, I went back to the bathroom and washed my hands more thoroughly. I suppose that as a younger person, the experience was more fulfilling, but when you leave with an overwhelming aroma of perfumed scents that cause your temples to cringe, the enjoyment and glee just don't come to mind. However, there was a silver lining, which entails a b&w beatles picture I got from this cool asian dude, and a nifty 'authentic' african bracelet. I was pleased with these purchases, as well as the lack of vomiting witnessed, or partaken in. And now for something completely different: Arnold Schwarzenegger is the governor of california. I am quite amused.

"Yes, now you know. Now you know! That's what it was to be alive. To move about in a cloud of ignorance; to go up and down trampling on the feelings of those...of those about you. To spend and waste time as though you had million years. To be always at the mercy of one self-centered passion, or another. Now you know--that's the happy existence you wanted to go back to. Ignorance and blindness."
This weekend was semi relaxed, and a bit hectic, and generally progressed too rapidly.
Friday's game was predictable, with Rockwall leaving Plano West in defeat. Some people there came down with a crappy stomach virus a little later that night, so I truly hope I haven't taken in any germs. Half-time was decent, and the bus ride was surreal. I had a few of those moments where I felt like I wasn't really a part of the situation around, but a casual observer. This could be due to the fact that I was listening to Radiohead, and feeling mellow. But, aside from the screaming, estrogen filled back of the school bus, everything went smoothly.
Saturday, I woke up much later than planned. There was a group of people meeting at Starbucks at 8:45; however, when you get up a mere 20 minutes before that, the likelihood of your attendance is slim to none. So, I dragged my weary body to the high school at 9:15ish, and was nearly late. We made it to Mesquite in one piece, performed decently enough, and got a 2, 2, 1. Not good, but not bad either.
Trekked over to the homestead to discover that family went to eat. I made a whataburger run, and then journeyed with the female parental unit to collin creek.
Dillard's had a respectable enough selection of dresses, and after picking over most of the selection, I found one. Black, spaghetti strap, knee length with puffy, sticky out material at the bottom. Red belt sash at waist and black velvetish design on whole thing. To my great pleasure, dillard's also has a nice shoe selection, so I got some red, rhinestone heels that scream "hot" (no, really!).
today, aka sabbath, went to church, then youth council. to my dismay, we got out at 1:20, when I had been told to meet at 12:00 for working on the economics test. Thankfully, there was a slight delay, and we all met up at about 2:00 at Rach's.
Progressed fairly well on the test, but some of these problems are bleak looking right now. Departed from the economic chewy goodness and had choir and youth.
And here I am, attempting to do this test, and occupying myself with everything except the dreadful packet from hell. It's back to the matresses, for now.
